On Thursday and Friday, August 29-30, 2002 the Spokane Civic Theatre hosted Zhang Cuiying and her painting exhibit for many visitors. Practitioners from Spokane and Pullman participated in the Hillyard “Hi-Jinks” parade in early August of 2002. Hillyard is a neighborhood near Spokane, and celebrates the Hillyard Festival with this parade yearly.
