July 4, 2007 Coeur d’Alene Idaho Parade

2007 marks the 8th year practitioners have participated in the annual July 4th American Heroes Parade in Coeur d’Alene Idaho.

Practitioners from Washington, Idaho and Montana traveled to the lake city Coeur d’Alene Idaho to participate in the city’s annual July 4th parade. This was the eighth year that Falun Gong practitioners have participated in the popular event. The day was sunny and hot and the audience was large and receptive. Before the parade began practitioners distributed over 700 folded paper mini-lotus flowers to the waiting audience members. Children and adults alike were excited to receive a lotus flower, which each included a bookmark containing Falun Dafa information.

The parade procession began with three practitioners carrying a banner reading “Falun Dafa” in Chinese and English. Behind the banner was the traditional Lion Dance. The audience, especially children, were enthralled by the lion, which drew cheers and applause.

The Lion Dance was followed by a beautiful Lotus flower “Fa boat” float brought by Seattle practitioners. On the float practitioners demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises.

The audience warmly applauded along the entire parade route, expressing their approval of “Truthfulness – Compassion – Forbearance.”
